The Legacy Launch Pad

Our Foundational Pilot Program

Where Purpose meets Action

The Legacy Launchpad is the foundational pilot program of the Legacy Youth Network. This immersive incubator is designed for high-potential students ready to build a meaningful future. We move beyond theory, equipping young leaders with the vision, skills, and network to launch a legacy of impact.

Our experience is built on a core framework:

  • Purpose & Self-Awareness: Forge a strong personal identity and clarify your vision for the world you want to create.

  • Impact Innovation Skills: Gain hands-on training in human-centered design, social entrepreneurship, and persuasive storytelling.

  • Guided Mentorship: Be matched with a dedicated mentor and become part of a powerful cohort of like-minded peers.

The program culminates in the design and launch of a real-world "Legacy Project," a tangible initiative that addresses a community need. This is where ideas become action.

Graduates don't just complete a program; they gain lifelong access to our network, ensuring ongoing support and opportunities to pay it forward. purpose is launched.

Legacy Launch Pad: Igniting the Journey of a Generation

The The Launchpad Experience: A Transformative Journey in Three Phases

1. Ignition: Building the Foundation
The journey begins with an immersive, high-energy kickoff filled with interactive workshops, inspiring guest speakers, and team challenges. This phase ignites curiosity, cultivates leadership, and strengthens each student’s sense of purpose and belonging within their cohort.

2. Creation: Developing the Legacy Project
Here, vision meets action. With hands-on mentorship, seed funding, and creative support, students or small teams design and launch their own Legacy Project—a meaningful, community-centered initiative that creates lasting impact and reflects their unique passions.

3. Liftoff: Continued Growth & Connection
Graduation marks the start of a lifelong journey. Alumni join the Legacy Youth Network community, gaining access to ongoing mentorship, advanced workshops, exclusive networking opportunities, and pathways to pay it forward by guiding future cohorts. Every participant leaves not only with a project—but with purpose, confidence, and a network for life.

FAQ

What is the Legacy Youth Network Pilot Program?

The Legacy Youth Network Pilot is a 6-week after-school program designed to help students develop leadership, life skills, and confidence through mentorship and hands-on learning experiences. The pilot will serve 10 students to test and refine our model before expanding to more schools and communities

Who can participate in the pilot program?

The program is open to middle and high school students in northern Virginia, with a focus on youth from underserved communities who show a desire to learn, lead, and grow. Participants are typically referred by schools, community organizations, or parents.

Is there a cost to join the pilot program?

For the pilot, there is no cost to families. Each student’s participation is fully funded through community sponsorships and business partnerships. As the program grows, we’ll continue to offer scholarships to ensure every student has access regardless of financial circumstances.

What do students do in the program?

Students attend sessions 2 times per week where they:

  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with mentors

  • Learn leadership and communication skills

  • Explore careers, entrepreneurship, and personal development

  • Participate in a community service or capstone project

At the end of the program, participants present their projects and receive a Certificate of Completion.

Our mentors are professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who volunteer their time to guide students. All mentors go through an orientation and screening process to ensure safety, professionalism, and alignment with our mission of youth empowerment.

How can schools or businesses get involved?

Schools can partner with Legacy Youth Network by referring students, providing space for sessions, or co-hosting enrichment events.
Businesses and organizations can support the program by sponsoring students, providing guest speakers, or donating resources for workshops and field trips.

What happens at the end of the pilot program?

At the end of the 6-week pilot, Legacy Youth Network hosts a Student Showcase and Celebration Event where participants present their projects, share their growth stories, and receive recognition from mentors, families, and community partners.
The event highlights student progress, strengthens community connections, and helps us gather feedback to shape the next phase of the program.
Outstanding participants may be invited to join the Legacy Ambassador Program — a leadership track for returning students who help mentor incoming participants in the next cycle.
